My Next Role ("the Extension", "we", "our") is a Chrome browser extension that helps users track their own job applications by logging them to a Google Spreadsheet owned by the user. This Privacy Policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, where it is stored, and the choices you have.
Developer: Oleksandr Lebedev Contact: [email protected]
When you sign in, the Extension requests the following scopes:
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets — read and write rows in your own Google Sheet ("MyNextRole") to log job applications and update their statuses.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.metadata.readonly — search your Google Drive by filename to locate an existing "MyNextRole" spreadsheet when you sign in on a new device. The Extension reads only the file name and ID; it never opens, downloads, or modifies the contents of any other Drive file.https://www.googleapis.com/auth/gmail.readonly — read the subject line, sender address, and short snippet of incoming emails to detect whether a response (interview / offer / rejection / test task) relates to one of your tracked applications. Email contents are processed locally inside your browser and are never sent to any third party. On supported job boards (work.ua, dou.ua, robota.ua, LinkedIn Easy Apply, Djinni), when you click an apply button, the Extension reads the visible job listing page (company name, role title, vacancy URL, and the cover-letter text you typed) and writes that record into your own Google Sheet. No other browsing data is collected.
The Extension stores the following locally in chrome.storage.local:
This data never leaves your browser.
